Over the past few years, Symantec has completed a course reversal for its Norton consumer Internet security suites. The massive package of security tools works better than it ever has before, with an impressive set of features, some useful new tools including the free Power Eraser, and third-party security efficacy benchmarks that are nothing short of remarkable. Meanwhile, CNET Labs' performance benchmarks indicate that though Norton doesn't leave the smallest footprint on your system, users should see a minimal impact overall. For the second year in a row, Norton's former sluggish beast now offers a smooth and fast installation operation. Once you run the installer, the program is ready to operate in about a minute--impressively fast, and doubly so considering past performance. The installation process is also the first time that you will interact with Quorum, Norton's behavior-based detection engine. You'll be asked to participate by sending anonymous data to Symantec's cloud. Opting out of the data submission, according to Symantec, will not affect your security.

Avast made great strides in its previous update. Version 5 set the stage for the modern, massively popular, and free security suite with a new interface that ditched a quirky, late-'90s jukebox style for a more polished look. Easier to navigate, it also became easier to add new features. Make no mistake; Avast 6 adds features both big and small. Some that had previously only been available to paid upgrade users are now free for all versions, and newer features have been seamlessly added to the interface experience. If you're familiar with Avast 5, upgrading to Avast 6 won't be that big of a leap.

McAfee has gone and done something drastic for the 2010 version of its basic security program, and we're not talking about the new name. McAfee AntiVirus Plus, which last year was known as McAfee VirusScan Plus, has a new interface that redefines how to streamline the complex and varied tools currently available in A-list security programs. The new and unusual top-down design is surprisingly easy to use, with clear delineations between features. Potentially confusing names have been jettisoned. For example, firewall settings control how you access the Web, so they're listed under Web and E-mail Protection. Also, McAfee stands out for not only color-coding what your status is, but also adding in what that means. The "Your computer is secure" message is bolstered by "No action required," a helpful tip. Click on any of the four categories just below the status bar and the pane just to the right reveals links to drill deeper into your security status. Mouse over the big subcategories at the bottom and a general status message appears next to the name. Click on one to for more configuration settings.

FULL REVIEW

Kaspersky's latest refresh to its premium security suite introduces several new tools to help keep your computer safe while enhancing older ones. The few problems in Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 loom larger than they would otherwise, though, because of the high retail cost of the suite. Kaspersky Internet Security continues to provide users with a high level of protection that includes security tools not offered by many competitors. The 2011 version won't change the face of personal computer security, although this particular package of security options and top-shelf performance has attracted enough devotees to make it a best-selling program, both in and out of the security field.

Comments:
A new name heralds some big changes for Trend Micro's Titanium suites. The overhaul to Maximum Security 2011 brings users a faster suite with a smaller system impact. There's a lot of extras to like here, too, but that's not enough to sell security on. Trend Micro's updates for 2011 bring a substantially overhauled suite, from the name down to its detection engine. Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2011 is the new name for Trend Micro Internet Security Pro, and along with the new nom de guerre comes a new interface, new cloud-based detection engine, and new features that, on whole, are changes as impressive as those that Norton has gone through the past few years.

How Hackers Hacked Google Pakistan And Many Other Websites

Early morning when I woke up, I was shocked to see that many Pakistani high profile websites are hacked and showing deface page. Some websites have been taken down and some are showing a deface page.

But I want to note one important thing that servers of these high profile websites are safe.

Actually, Hackers have hacked into the DNS server that holds the records for .pk domain. They have the full access to the PKNIC server, so they can change the DNS records of any website. And hackers have done the same. They have change the DNS records of these high profile websites.

If you want to see the current DNS records of these domains, you can either use any Whois service or use CMD in window system.
Open command prompt and type following:
nslookup -d google.com.pk
see the results
google pakistan nameservers

See the name server: dns1.freehostia.com

If you check for other hacked websites, you will find the same name server. It is the webserver where deface page is hosted.

Many people are also claiming that the DNS server is safe and the deface has been done by DNS cache poisoning attack. But the mass attack indicates that something went worst than this. And PKNIC server has been hacked.elsGLE HACK, Hacking tutorials
